Abstract: This item is part of a series of papers from visiting scientists and fellows at the Bass lab. The Bass Biological Laboratory was a fully functioning research laboratory as well as a biological collecting and field station. The lab was located in Englewood, Florida, and operated during the 1930s and 1940s. This poem praises the author's hosts Jack and Else Bass and the Bass Laboratory.
