Abstract: This item is part of a series of publicity materials generated by or about the Bass Biological Laboratory in the 1930s and 1940s. The Bass Biological Laboratory was a fully functioning research laboratory as well as a biological collecting and field station. The lab was located in Englewood, Florida, and operated during the 1930s and 1940s. This response from John F. Bass, Jr. gives a detailed set of descriptions on the geographical location, ecological location, purpose, history, sponsorship, income, staff, equipment, living facilities, research, and publications of the Bass Biological Laboratory.
