1993 Southwest Florida Gulf Coast Shark Census. Final report.

Abstract

The Gulf Coast Shark Census is the world's only 100% catch-and-release shark tournament designed for research. It was used to test and develop the feasibility of catch-and-release programs for recreational shark fisheries. The project included a public education component using the activity to promote conservation and awareness.
