These images provide a valuable look at the Bass property as the buildings and structures went up that would become the Bass Biological Laboratory. The Bass Biological Laboratory was a fully functioning research laboratory as well as a biological collecting and field station. The lab was located in Englewood, Florida, and operated during the 1930s and 1940s.
