Abstract: This item is part of a series of financial records from the Zoological Research Supply Company, including invoices, orders, and related records such as correspondence. The ZRS served as the profit-making subsidiary of the Bass Biological Laboratory, and operated in the mid to late 1930s and early 1940s. This letter to J. Lear Grimmer discusses ZRS business and orders, particularly snakes. The item also mentions Laurence Hope's (Adela Florence Nicolson's) poem, "India's Love Lyrics," also known as "The Garden of Kama," and another poem "The Teak Forest."
